Safety top Priority for Aqualux.

Health and safety practice is being given a boost at Aqualux with team leaders and lead operatives working towards their City and Guilds Level 2 Progression Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace.

The certificate is aimed at making staff aware of the importance of health and safety at the UK’s leading manufacturer of bath screens and shower enclosures as well as making sure they know the correct procedures if an accident should happen.

The ten week course, completed at Dudley College, involves a range of modules covering all aspects of health and safety at work such as chemical usage, completing risk assessments, manual handling and reporting and completing accident reports.

James Cadman, managing director of Aqualux commented: “We’re constantly striving to keep standards high, especially when it comes to health and safety so this certificate is additional proof to customers that they are working with a company where safety is a priority.”

Some staff members also completed the IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) certificate last year, another testament to continual staff support and development.
